How to do it

Lie on a flat bench holding dumbbells above your chest, palms facing each other, with a slight bend in your elbows. Open your arms out to the sides in a wide arc until you feel a stretch in your chest, then squeeze the weights back together.

Form Tips

Think hugging a tree — maintain the slight elbow bend throughout. Lower until your elbows are level with your torso.
